ANNOUNCING THE 2016 MAJOR GRANT PROGRAM
Deadline to Submit a Letter of Interest - March 1, 2016
It's our 20th Anniversary and to kick off our year-long celebration, we're happy to share with you our plans for the 2016 Major Grant Program. We expect to award $580,000 in Major Grants which is just one small piece of our larger commitment to the community. We'll also be offering Model Classroom Grants, Scholarship Grants that support local students, Good Neighbor Grants, Home Runs for Heroes Grants and a whole lot more.
Our funding priorities remain the same supporting Housing, Youth Development and Education, and improving Health and Wellness and the Quality of Life in the OceanFirst Bank market. Typical grants will range from $5,000 $20,000.
To be considered for a Major Grant, the first step is to submit a Letter of Interest (LOI) by March 1, 2016. LOIs must provide a brief background on your organization, how much your organization is requesting and a brief summary of the program or project for which you seek a grant. Letters may not exceed two pages of narrative and must also include a one page program/project budget. Our Major Grant Committee will then conduct a thorough review of the LOIs received to determine which organizations will be invited to move on to the next step which is the submission of a full proposal for consideration.
Further, please note that all Major Grant applicants must have tax-exempt (501c3) status with the IRS, be registered in the State of NJ as a charity and perform a certified annual audit. If invited to proceed to the next stage, there will be additional documentation requirements.
Please plan ahead - all submissions whether mailed or emailed must be RECEIVED by the deadline to be considered. Mailed submissions should be sent to OceanFirst Foundation, 1415 Hooper Ave., Suite 304, Toms River, NJ 08753 and emailed submissions should be sent to email@example.com.
