Surflight is looking for volunteers to usher and work the concession stand (Joe’s Place) for any shows during the 2025 season from May 28-December 31. If you usher or work in Joe’s Place you are able to see the show/event for free.
SURFLIGHT USHERING: Volunteers assist the public by welcoming them to the theatre, directing them to their seats, helping those that need assistance and provide a program when applicable. Ushers will be expected to remain on duty from the time the doors are scheduled to open until the end of the performance, including curtain calls and any post performance meet and greet activities after performances unless dismissed by the House Manager. ALL ushers will assist in the post-performance clean-up of the theatre and remove trash from the aisles (unless previously dismissed).
JOE’S PLACE VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers are needed for the operation of the theatre’s concession stand. In this fast-paced environment, volunteers will need to provide quick, efficient service while positively engaging the public. They are also responsible to ensure the stand is left neat and orderly, with trash removed at the end of each event.
SHOW TIMES: during the summer season (June-Labor Day) mainstage shows are at 2pm & 8pm. After Labor Day mainstage shows are 2pm & 7:30pm. Children’s Theatre shows are Wednesdays-Sundays always at 6pm. Concerts, special events vary in start times, check our website: www.surflight.org.
