Making Big Waves This Holiday Season

OceanFirst Bank’s volunteer team – the WaveMakers – are having lots of fun this holiday season! October kicked off with CommunityFirst Day, a special day of service with more than 750 team members contributing 2,961 volunteer hours at 100+ nonprofits! In November, the WaveMakers donated all the trimmings needed to feed 150+ families a yummy Thanksgiving dinner. Everyone put on their favorite holiday sweaters and elf hats in December to wrap gifts for foster youth supported by CASA of Ocean County and to build 650 new bikes for the children of South Jersey with Jaws Youth Playbook. They also collected lots of toys for the Salvation Army and the House of Hope and then did their best elf impressions, packing supplies to spread cheer with Holiday Express.

It’s been an amazing year for the WaveMakers with a record 5,000+ volunteer hours contributed to so many great causes and we can’t wait to get started in 2023!
