Summer Camp Grants
Remember how much fun you had at camp as a kid? In 2024, we partnered with some of the very best nonprofits in our footprint to provide $75,000 in Summer Camp Scholarships. Recipients of Summer Camp Grants have provided all kinds of safe and engaging activities to kids including theater, science, and leadership development.
Who May Apply
We consider requests for Summer Camp Grants from nonprofits (501c3) that can demonstrate a significant level of service and impact within OceanFirst Foundation’s central and southern New Jersey footprint – Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, Somerset, and Union counties. Applicants from outside this footprint must contact the Foundation to be screened for eligibility prior to submitting a request. Additional grant eligibility requirements may be found here.
New Applicants
Inquiries to the Foundation are welcome and nonprofits that have not previously been included in the Summer Camp Grant program should call 732-341-4676 to be screened before applying.
Grant Deadline
There is only one opportunity to apply for the Summer Camp Grant program. Please plan ahead – the deadline to apply was March 1, 2024 and we do not consider requests submitted after the deadline.
Grant Awards
Organizations selected to receive Summer Camp Grants must agree to use funds awarded to provide direct camp scholarships of up to $250 per child to cover the cost of a camp experience. A Use of Funds report documenting scholarship recipients and program impact will be required at the conclusion of the grant period.
Application Status
Organizations that submit an application by the deadline will be notified of the decision on their request in advance of the 2024 camp season and no later than May 1, 2024.
Application Process
