Strong women build strong communities. Twenty remarkable female OFB WaveMakers from across Monmouth and Ocean Counties came together to celebrate Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build. Women Build is an initiative designed to engage, educate, and empower women to transform lives and strengthen communities by providing safe and affordable homes for families in need and work with Home Builds and Critical Home Repair Programs.
These incredible WaveMakers joined forces to learn the art of window replacement. The WaveMakers successfully replaced windows for an elderly couple as part of the Home Repair program. With determination and a lot of laughter, they removed and replaced 11 windows; a few old ones met their demise in the process. These much-needed repairs will help keep energy costs down for the homeowners and provide comfortable temperatures indoors all year long!
